Nicolas Béguin

Nicolas Béguin advises financial institutions, corporates and investors across the full spectrum of banking, finance and corporate law. His transactional practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, debt restructurings, participation plans and shareholders’ agreements, as well as the associated regulatory and strategic considerations.

Nicolas is widely recognised for his ability to bring transactional and regulatory insight to high-stakes litigation and arbitration. He represents clients in complex commercial, shareholder and post-M&A disputes before Swiss courts and arbitral tribunals, and regularly conducts urgent proceedings involving interim measures and asset freezes.

His practice extends to sensitive internal investigations in regulated sectors, and he is regularly appointed as an investigating agent by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

Admitted to the Geneva and New York Bars, Nicolas maintains an active academic profile. He lectures on compliance in financial services at the University of Geneva and on law and artificial intelligence at the University of Neuchâtel.
